I am starting to get have a massive crush on Vin Diesel. (Might even tag him in this when I post it to instagram…!) /fangirl
Anyway… last weekend I took a day off and watched some of the fast and furious films. Anyone who has seen any of them there is a theme running through all 7 films…
“I don’t have friends, I got family”
Something that is very apparent is that it’s more than a group of random people who can drive fast and steal dvd players from moving trucks.
They consider themselves to be family.
This type of bond and loyalty is crucial to success.
Both in the robbing of dvd players from trucks
AND
in weight loss.
Because your social circle and the people you keep the closest to you are the biggest indicator of whether you will be successful or not.
Think about it,
the people that you spend the most time with can make or break your progress.
They can be trying to sabotage your results by bringing cake round to your house
OR
They can be standing in the queue for spin with you
what is more helpful to your goals?
But Ainzlie, I can’t just ditch my friends.
Ok, I get that. And it doesn’t need to be a case of ditching your friends
BUT
being aware of who helps and who hinders is crucial for you.
See there will be days where you want to give in, you don’t want to go to spin or you don’t want to have a healthy lunch
On these days – find your fit family.
Put out an emergency text “Send motivation now!”
Surround yourself with positive messages and positive attitudes to get you through that craving or that bad day.
Listen to positive podcasts
Read health focused blogs
Find inspirational people to follow on instagram
and pull yourself back from the temptation of people who aren’t in your fit family.
This isn’t about trying to convert people to your lifestyle if they’re not interested
don’t become that annoying person who preaches crossfit and paleo to random people in the street!
^^ that gets old VERY quickly.
Find people on the same journey and quietly work away on your health
motivating and inspiring others as you do so.
Find your fit family and keep them close.
Ainzlie xx
