First of September!! How did this happen? If you’re like me 2016 has passed so quickly, yet at the same time a lot has happened so far.
Soon it will be Halloween, bonfire night and the John Lewis Christmas advert.
“Stop getting ahead of yourself Ainzlie…!”
Well…no, it’s time someone highlighted how much time has passed.
This is your wake up call, my question is…
It’s September, so where are your results?
If you’re like the majority of people you made a New Years resolution
Weight loss or change in physique is one of the most common resolutions made each year.
Chances are if you’re reading this post you’re thinking about weight loss
or a change in activity, maybe cleaning up your diet.
If you made the resolutions in January and you’re struggling to keep up with the plan there is still time left in 2016 to see results.
I’m not here to advocate a quick four month crash diet
Starvation and endless interval workouts
Low carb and miserable
BUT
I am here to assure you that now is as good a time as any to get a plan in place.
If you promised yourself that 2016 would be ‘your year’
Your year to get fit
Your year to get healthy
Your year to lose fat
There is still time left to make those changes.
Your tips for results
Don’t be scared to ask for help.
Asking for guidance isn’t weakness, if anything it’s the smartest thing you can do.
Why struggle to find the answers when you can ask someone who knows what to do and how to do it?
Often people are reluctant to invest in their health, preferring instead to search the Internet for free advice and try to follow it.
Problem with that is what advice do you follow…?
Cut the confusion. Ask for help.
Know your goals
Whether you choose to seek help from a professional or not, knowing what you want is essential.
I want to lose weight is not a goal.
That’s a generic sentence that will get you nowhere.
WHY do you want to lose weight? If you can answer that you’re on your way to knowing what your motivations are.
Know how much time you can dedicate to your plan.
^^^ this is vital
it will help you to understand whether you can achieve what you want in the time you have.
If you want to lose 3 stone in four months you better be prepared to put in the time.
If that’s not realistic then you need to scale back.
We have four months left of this year and while that is a decent chunk of time
your results are DIRECTLY RELATED to the amount of time you will dedicate to training and eating well.
Remember that.
Don’t see December as a finish line.
It might be the end of the year, but it’s not the end of the
plan.
Even if you achieve your results in that time you must maintain your changes in order to maintain your results.
Christmas can tough so planning is essential here.
Be prepared to keep the plan going, regardless of the time of year.
Bottom line here is that if you wanted to see real change in 2016 but that hasn’t happened take today as a sign that you can still make it happen.
Time will pass anyway…what are you going to do about it…?
Ainzlie xx
P.s – if you want to maximise your remaining months of 2016 get in touch for some help. If doing it in your own hasn’t quite worked out, it’s time to do something different
