Recently one of my clients was round at a friends flat and the topic of conversation got round to her considerable weight loss.
She has made great strides in her journey with me, not just inch loss and weight loss but significant improvements in her health. It has been a joy to watch her transformation.
Naturally, anyone who had seen this change wants the secret.
And the inevitable question was asked…
“What can’t you eat?”
O_o
This is the diet mentality in a nutshell
we are taught to believe that results must come from restriction, that we have to give something up or we can’t achieve the body we want
we must suffer to see results
“No pain, No gain”
And honestly, while that is an option, it’s a shit option.
You can lose weight without restricting yourself
You can lose weight without being miserable
Believe it or not, you can even lose weight while enjoying it <<< Seriously.
The ‘one weird trick’ to weight loss does not lie in foods to ban, or calories to count
The trick is to find the plan that works for you.
And unless you have a medical reason for taking something out of your diet there is no need to avoid anything.
So if you want to ban pasta and rice and chocolate and you want to ‘eat clean’ every meal of every day forever more then that’s absolutely fine.
But if you’re striving to find weight loss success without sacrificing the foods you love it is possible
